THE FOUNDATION LOUIS BONDUELLE AWARD FOR THE FOOD TRANSITION TOWARD PLANT-BASED FOOD

Because we are convinced that to change the world, we must change the food on our plates, the Louis Bonduelle Foundation is committed to make sustainable food more accessible, available and acceptable.

Our aim is to promote constructive projects, to have a positive impact, to highlight solidarity actions, for a food that is all good. Eating more plant-based food is becoming more and more important, which is why we want to reward more and more committed ideas.

As an Italian actor and passionate cook, Davide Devenuto committed himself by launching the Spesasospesa project to encourage the recovery of potential waste and surplus of goods and redistributes them to individuals facing financial difficulties thanks to a blockchain platform (Regusto) with an innovative circular model to help people and the planet.

This founder of a communication agency started cooking as a self-taught chef.

Kimberly Renee created the Food Love project that connects families in need with vegan brands that commit to deliver food baskets.

Our food causes a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions, so it’s a great lever for action! It is by understanding this point that Éva Genel, an environment enthusiast created FIG, an association that helps restaurant owners choose the right actions to improve their carbon footprint, and show that it is possible to cook both gourmet and eco-responsible.

 As a self-taught chef, she received a star for her vegan restaurant ONA.

It is thanks to her determination, crowdfunding and the help of volunteers that she succeeded in bringing her project to life: a restaurant offering seasonal, joyfully experimental cuisine that is both plant-based and eco-responsible.

This French social entrepreneur is committed to changing the current model through his startup Phenix, which offers baskets of unsold goods to be collected directly from retailers at greatly reduced prices.

Aitor Sanchez (Espagne)

This Spanish dietician-nutritionist is specialized in sustainable diets and responsible food production. His last book “Your diet could save the planet” addresses these issues and proposes a solution for climate change through a sustainable global diet. Aitor Sánchez is an European Climate Pact Ambassador in Spain since April 2022.

For this American change agent, it was the discovery of the extraordinary benefits of a plant-based diet on health, that the trigger was made. She then co-founded and leads Plant Powered Metro New York, to educate and empower multicultural residents of New York to eat a plant-based diet that preserves health and heals chronic disease.
