Vegetable garden: growing zucchini (courgette)
Planting can start in March in nursery in planting pocket. When plants are grown, keep the most resistant and transplant outdoors. Harvesting takes place 2 to 3 months after planting. Pick the zucchini before maturity to avoid having a thick skin and a bitter taste in the mouth.
As with any vegetable, it can be attacked by pests or diseases: slugs and snails that come and eat the leaves of the plant; powdery mildew (a fungus that will cause the appearance of white spots on the leaves and paralyse their growth) and the grey mould (a small insect that suck the sap). Subsequently these diseases cause a slower growth of the plant, which can even lead to the death of the latter. Zucchini is a vegetable but also a fruit.
