Vegetable garden: growing sorrel
Seedlings can start as soon as March in nursery and in May sorrel can be planted outdoors. When there are 5 or 6 leaves, transplant to their growing positions. Before planting, water plants well and water well again after transplanting. Harvesting takes place 3 months after planting.
A regular and light watering is key to a smooth plant development.
Pests can hamper the plant growth: slugs, snails and cucumber beetle. They come and eat the leaves. Sorrel is a vegetable but also a leaf.
