Vegetable garden: growing flageolet
Planting takes place from April to mid-July, in row or in pocket. Flowering takes place between mid-May and end of September. Harvesting lasts from July up to October.
As with any pulses, flageolet can be affected by anthracnose (a fungus that will cause the appearance of elongated or round spots on leaves), bean mosaic (a fungus that deteriorates leaves) and rust (a fungus that will cause the appearance of red spots on the leaves). Subsequently these diseases cause a slower growth of the plant, which can even lead to the death of the latter. Flageolet is a vegetable but also a seed.
