Vegetable garden: growing asparagus
Before planting, enrich the soil with compost and dig trenches to a depth of 30 cm. The asparagus crowns are planted between February and April, directly in the soil. The harvest only takes place 3 years after planting.
They can be affected by diseases such as rust (appearance of brown spots on the leaves due to the presence of a fungus) and Fusarium wilt (a fungus that will cause the root to rot). Subsequently these diseases cause a slower growth of the plant, which can even lead to the death of the latter. Asparagus is a vegetable but also a stem.
