Vegetable garden: growing garlic
There are 2 varieties of garlic: the autumn garlic planted from October to December and the spring garlic planted from February to March. Cloves (young small bulb) shall be buried a few inches points upward, in rows 10 cm apart. The harvest takes place between the months of June and July when the stems begin to turn yellow.
Like most of the plants, garlic may face diseases including rust formed by fungi that causes red spots on leaves. To address this problem, some Bordeaux mixture may be sprayed on it. Subsequently this disease causes a slower growth of the plant, which can even lead to the death of the latter. Garlic is a vegetable but also a bulb.
