Food behaviours and waste, denial and contradictions
In line with the European Year against Food Waste, the 2014 edition of the Foundation Meetings, held on 20 May at the RATP premises in Paris. Researchers, nutrition stakeholders and journalists were invited to listen to three speakers who exposed the current situation and the potential solutions presented to help stem the issue. Guests were then presented with one of the in-field actions supported by the Foundation: The ‘Brigade des compotes’, a project set up to fight against food waste, lead by an association called Active. Lastly, after a flashback to the work carried out by the two 2012 award-holders, the two laureates of the 2014 Louis Bonduelle Research Prize were rewarded.
